"...a wonderful pair of performers with joy smiles and silliness."

Clive Webb and Danny Adams are renowned panto stars, particularly in Newcastle, known for their comedic timing and audience engagement. They are often paired in panto productions, with Danny Adams frequently playing a slapstick character and Clive Webb providing support.

Clive Webb
Born in Sunderland, Clive started his show business career as a drummer in a pop group. After a year had passed and a serious lack of bookings – and food – Clive answered an advert for a drummer in the Famous Robert Bros Circus where he stayed for seven years ending up as head clown. After leaving the Circus he auditioned for Opportunity Knocks. He came second but was fortunately seen by Michael Hurl, a well-known TV producer. There followed many TV guest appearances including: Seaside Special, Game for a Laugh, Make Me Laugh, Crackerjack, The Sooty Show, Ronnie Corbett’s Thursday Special and the famous Junior Royal Command Performance at the London Palladium. He was also resident on Razzamatazz, How Dare You, Rolf on Saturday (with Rolf Harris) and spent 3 years on Tiswas, all of which were long running series. In 1988 Clive reached another pinnacle of his career – he became British Magical Champion – the first time a comedy magician has ever won this prestigious award. Clive and Danny are, in fact, father and son, so the fact that Danny was almost born in a dressing room enabled him to start his show business career early.

Danny Adams
Danny’s TV appearances include GMTV’s Mole in a Hole (series of 26), Stars in Their Dressing Rooms, Angus Deaton’s It Shouldn’t Happen to a TV Presenter The Tweenies. Danny enjoyed great success at the Grand Theatre, Blackpool, with Cannon and Ball in the summer spectacular Comedy Bonanza in 2002. Over the past years they have toured extensively in various different venues from Holiday Parks for Butlins/Haven, to Theatre and Cabaret Venues the length and breadth of the country and in 2001 starred in Zippo’s Circus, the UK’s largest circus. More recently they have toured all over the UK and Europe with their own Circus Hilarious and spent five years in the summer season spectacular in Great Yarmouth at the Famous Hippodrome Circus. During 2008, Danny performed the very dangerous Houdini’s Milk Churn Escape and is currently trying to perfect the Human Cannonball as his alter ego Captain Splat. They are proud to have been jointly awarded the CFA Best Comedy Act 2007 and Danny was also runner up in the Journal Culture Awards for Performance of the Year 2008.
