ANITA
DOBSON
She is best known for playing landlady Angie Watts in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from the show's inception in 1985 until 1988. She achieved a top five hit in the UK singles chart in 1986 with "Anyone Can Fall in Love", a vocal version of the theme music of EastEnders, and briefly reprised her role for the show's 40th anniversary in 2025. More recently many people know her as MRS FLOOD in DOCTOR WHO.

In 2003, she was nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Actress for the National Theatre production of Frozen.
What a wonderful performer - Anita Dobson! I like many people know her from DOCTOR WHO
and EASTENDERS but when looking into our career - what a brilliant panto career she's had.
The thing I've enjoyed reading the most (when looking through panto reviews etc) is how
highly spoken Anita Dobson is spoken about in reviews and with people working with her.
It's not surprising as she is a star and I hope you enjoy taking a trip down panto memory lane.
